The following guild members are responsible for determining who is eligible to join us on our Sunday night raids.

Yeah this is a bit dated. This list is before Prest/Mann/Dru et al. got the 2nd Kara group up and running.

I think its a rating of gear weighted by level, IE who has the best gear score possible for theirs level
Maxdps has a lot of BC epics listed in the top 10 still when you consider loot only up to 10man raid quality (ilvl 200) - especially the Tier6 and sunwell gear.
But its always good to have more than one source, so we can also check:

If you go to the guild tab and search us, you get a similar gear ranking, and the Character view is also a nice checklist as far as knowing what upgrades your gear needs (gems, chants, etc)
One thing, it only shows characters cached on their site so I went through and searched all of our 80s so they'd show up; Dunno if this is something we have to do frequently.
Of course its also not recommending Naxx10 for most of us (though it does on my info page..) - I'm guessing a 1500 gear ranking is the threshold.

I was thinking some about the rankings on those sites, and I think its important to consider that it probably just ranks your gear by item level whereas Maxdps, and other such resources actually rank gear based on usefulness to your build. Its still generally accurate, but I know in my case a lot of lower blues are more desirable than the 80 blues because of how their stats are assigned
