Introduce Yourself to the Se7en Samurai! So Nice We'll Do it Twice....

I've been gaming (both video and tabletop) since I was about 7 years old, and discovered MMORPG's in 1999 when I first logged on to Everquest. I played that for about a year until I had to quit for financial reasons (the whole "Stay at Home" part) - but since then the money's gotten better and I've been actively involved in creating and running MMORPG guilds for 5 years. It started in 2003 with Star Wars Galaxies (see the original boards here!), Moved on (briefly) to City of Heroes, and then onto World of Warcraft in November of 2004.
The Se7en Samurai was born in February of 2005 when I learned the hard way that the guild I helped put together the first time around was 90% power gamers who didn't give a crap about playing with me because I wasn't leveling as fast as they were. So I left and started over (all by my little lonesome * sniff *) and created this guild with a vision towards being more accessible to casual gamers. Most of our core members have been part of the guild since at least 2005 and it's been a tremendous 3 years. Just recently we've merged with the members of Getsome in an effort to tear Wrath of the Lich King a new one - and from every thing I can see so far that's exactly what we'll do.

Since 6th grade I've played RPGs and Video Games. Everything changed in 2000 when a friend called and said "Dude, you've got to check out this new game I got. It's called Everquest." He described it and I went out and bought it 15 minutes later. So began my love of MMORPGs. I've been in the betas for City of Heroes, WoW, D&D Online, and Lord of the Rings Online. So far, nothing beats WoW.
I joined The Se7en Samurai in 2006 and have been a member of Team Nezumi, our level 70 Horde team of Feathermoon since then. I was also a member of Team Saru, which was disbanded informally in order to open up Tuesday night for a second raid night. I'm am the de facto raid leader and relish the opportunity to help this guild achieve its end-game goals. I am especially excited about the addition of the members of Clan Getsome and look forward to getting to know them better. Their experience, gear, and knowledge can only help us reach new heights, and I look forward to being along for the ride.

I'm 25 and have been playing video games for a while. I've been playing the game that matters the most
I have a daughter that's 4 who I spend time with every other weekend and she's a mess. If I'm not on every other Saturday, this is why.
Have played with Ghost and Quazi for, lord jesus, I dunno how many years .. even before WoW. We've ripped through the bowels of Molten Core together and some, for me at least, into BWL since I had picked up a 3rd shift job at the time.
It's a pleasure to meet some new, more mature and PvE goal oriented players and I hope we can rip through WotLK as Storm mentioned in his post.

I started playing WoW about 1 1/2 yrs ago through a friend at work. I am a pretty casual player (it has taken me FOREVER to get up to 70) but I'm wanting to get more involved.
I'm excited to be a part of this guild (I moved over from another server...Raleigh and Marleigh are friends of mine in RL and I wanted to play with them) and learn a lot more about the game and raid. I moved over from a PVP server and it's nice to not have to worry about being ganked constantly, although I do miss it a little. I look forward to playing with you all!

I joined this guild sometime in 2007 (forgive me, cant remember the month). Darkdayze is my real life friend. I consider him one of my best friends, I have known him for 8 years now. I did play WoW when it was in beta stage and a bit after it came out officially. Somehow I got bored and moved to a different game...Counterstrike...not a MMORPG, but still fun. I was originally horde when I first ever played WoW, an Orc Warlock if I remember right hehe.
Earlier in 2007, my sister told me she was playing WoW, and I decided to come back and give it another shot. I originally leveled my warlock from 1 to 70 on the Doomhammer server. During that time I was also leveling my priest Lightness (his name used to be Fladellis, but I did a name change) with Team Manaka here in this guild. Earlier this year I moved my 70 warlock over and started raiding with this guild, and it's been a blast! There is a lot of great people here. The only MMORPG game I have ever played is WoW, and I am still stuck on it lol. Blizzard has made a great game, and from what I heard has made it better then a lot of the previous MMORPG games such as Everquest. I won't try to judge them though, since WoW is the only MMORPG I have ever played.
I am always willing to help my fellow guildies out...so if you need any assistance, please let me know, I will be glad to give anyone a hand when needed.

GO GO GO SE7EN SAMURAI ! ! !

As Mike mentioned, we have been on a bit of a whirlwind since 2004 when we met up again after a 7 year hiatus (we had been in High School together and ran in overlapping circles.) Although he was told by friends and family that he would never meet the perfect girl sitting at home playing video games, that is kinda how it happened. In fact, he almost missed coming to see me because it was one of the first nights of open beta. However, he took the call and chose to come buy me a drink instead of playing- the rest is history. (I think it was the last time I got him to choose me over the game!)(Just kidding honey)
After getting the dog, buying a house, and a number of job changes, I launched my own Sales and Creative Marketing Consulting business in January of this year. While it has taken away some WoW time, we hope to build it to a point where both Mike and myself can run it together- simply having control of our own schedules has some nice perks gaming wise.
My gaming history includes every platform system that was released over the years, practically since Pong. My brother, mom, and myself were always first in line for the new systems and game releases. My first major PC games were Myst and later The Sims. However, I was primarily a platformer and I credit that with my willingness to die over and over again in WoW without getting too frustrated.
Mike introduced me to WoW early on and I must admit that while I said "yah honey, that is really cool" what I was thinking was "why is hitting numbers fun?!" My new computer moved in with Mike even before I did and with it my own copy of WoW. It did not take much for me to begin to see how interesting and fun the progression was and I was hooked fast and well.
We joined 7S before my first toon was even Lvl. 40, and while I was initially nervous and skeptical, the guild and those in it quickly became a huge and important part of my gaming experience. I really enjoy playing with you and am eager to conquer new content. Looking forward to getting to know and play with our new Get Some friends and will greatly enjoy the time we have to play with our standard crew as well.
We have managed to pull a few RL friends into the Guild as well and we thank you for giving them a warm welcome!
See you all in game!

I am 36, married with 2 dogs and currently live in San Francisco. I work in the software industry. Redolga made me play WoW and I made Elfsothoth play WoW. I am a huge gamer and collect games but I was always a console gamer. One day I played Roller Coaster Tycoon and became a PC gamer. Then Red told me about how fun WoW was and I had tons of people at work playing and telling me to play. Luckily I follow Red to Alleria and got in with a great group of like minded people. They let me be as hardcore or as casual as I like and I thank them for it.
My interests are;
Exploring this great city with my wife
Movies
Games
WoW
Photography (plug http://photosofjons.blogspot.com )
Surfing (not so much up here in the cold water but in SoCal)
My 2 dogs
I could go on and on.....
See ya in game,

I live in Montreal, Canada. My 2 teenagers play wow too, which pretty much explains my playing hours
I'm an IT specialist in the Financial and/or Lottery world. My specialty is the Tandem Platform, which was bought by
HP when they acquired Compaq. I'm a self-employed consultant.
I've been playin Computer games and console games for as far as I can remember... Pong, Intellivision, Colecovision,
commodore 64, Amiga...etc...
Been in 7 sams for so long I can't even remember... the number of members was very small back then, and I've seen
this guild grow up with many quality players joining in, most of whom I'm happy to consider friends now.
I got 3 70s toons, my main being Silvercloak the mage... Also have Silvertamer the Hunter and Silvershammy the resto shammy.
notice the theme in the names ?
anyways, this is maybe the 10th time I've written this intro, so all I'll add is that I'm really happy to see a group of
nice people like the getsome crowd join us... It makes things exciting for us, opening possibilities that we couldn't
hope for before...

I have been a gamer / developer since the days of the Commodore Vic-20 -> Commodore 64 -> Commodore 128 -> etc etc... where you had to write the games yourself and save them onto a tape -- through graduate school where I ended up writing the interface between nuclear medicine and digital x-ray mammography cameras to obtain a dual modality imaging system capable of detecting even the smallest breast cancer exteremely early and reducing the need for further testing (i.e. biopsies) by a significant amount. Then, life happened, and I am where I am now.
As a gamer, if it was released on a pc, I probably played it over the years. Aside from WoW, I took part in the early beta testing for Ultima Online (the first real MMORPG) and then again later Eve Online... however, with the 7S (note: not WoW), I think I have finally found a home. I joined the group back in the fall of 2005 when Silver, Storm, Den, and Chill needed a 5th for a run through Shadowfang Keep and were gracious enough to take a lowly pally named Andrek along for the ride and I was hooked.
Shortly after, the idea of starting up a Horde based 7S group was kicked around, and thus Nezumi was born. A few came and went at the begining, but for the most part, the current group has existed as it is to this day for 2+ years now and shows no signs of slowing down. Lately, I've managed to get my RL brother into the WoW and the Guild (Cathand - alliance, Ikthio - Horde) and started leveling up yet another alliance toon, Niebla, to take a more active role in the 7S where the group is more active... Alleria.
Happy Hunting.

Prior to WoW I'd have called myself a hardcore casual gamer. By that I mean I'd buy a fair few games, but would quickly lose interest in them. Half-life 2 is the only game I've ever completed, yet I've owned almost every console out there
I was never into fantasy/rpg at all. Then I decided to watch The Lord Of The Rings, which got me hooked on the fantasy aspects of entertainment. Then I got an XBox 360 and since Oblivion looked so cool, decided to buy it. Well, I lost several hundred hours of my life to that game. The only thing I didn't like was the fact you felt alone in that world, because... well, you were. So that got me interested in trying out WoW, and I've been playing since. That was mid-2006. I used to play on EU servers, so when I moved over here I decided to dump my account and start playing on US servers so that I could play with people at work - Quazi, Selrach, Kosia, Arlo (and Ghost as an extension of those). And that's where I am today
I play a mage, it's what I've always played, and really enjoy the class. I have a couple of (very) low level alts, but just haven't enjoyed them as much as magey.

My name is Andy, I live in the KC area...31 years of age at the writing of this post, and married to an awesome chick (hitched in 1/2007), just bought a house (6/2008)...and I think that's it? I'm a SysAdmin for a local company. I read people's emails all day.
j/k
Anyway, I joined the 7S a while back...about 20 levels ago (translate: a little over a year ago)
I had to drop off my commitment; needed to prioritize some stuff with my new family.
Now that the dust has settled, I'm back in action.
For you new folks, welcome. The 7S is by far the most mature and intelligent guild I've heard of in playing WoW. I've been a part of another group, and they kicked me out after 2 weeks of inactivity. These guys 'n gals are generous, and extremely helpful. I look forward to killing many more boars with you.

22, college, regular (non job related) gamer, (sometimes) Sunshine State, FL
Druida main = a druid not female druid...although druido didn't sound so good.
Simulation is my fav...if it had tycoon on the end of it i played it, RCT being the fave (Roller Coaster Tycoon), Sims the peeps and the cities, Age of Empires and the likes.
Shy, quiet (except these boards lol), and very emotional. They say ppl work off one more than the other and I'm more emotion over logic or any of the others. As seen in posts and game play. Don't take life too seriously...I can't help it. Anyways hey everbody!
Name?...
I've updated my page just before september...just in case anyone cares to read.

Des here, Patrick in RL, 43 yrs old now, 6.4ft, 200lbs, shoesize 11, brown eyes, economist with a large international aid organization. I thought I'd give a little sign of life and introduce myself again while omw to relocating to Mozambique (I am sitting in the lounge at the Paris airport as I am writing these lines, waiting for my connecting flight...) - just to make a case that I am down (under, in the southern hemisphere) but not out - Samurai for life!!!
I will continue gaming and WoWing as soon as I get DSL up and running at our new home, though the new time zone will not allow me to consistently join the 7S raids - Mozambique has the same time as W.Europe, i.e. it's 2am there when it's 8pm the night before on the East Coast... ...but I will figure something out to join one regular weeknight. And I guess I will have plenty of time to revive the toons duett with Khundia aka Lady K. aka my RL wife... Also, I want to work on my Horde warrior a bit and get him better gear...
I joined Da 7S crew almost 3 years ago now, I believe, and have been a regular member of Team Nezumi and Team Saru since early days - and made great friends there in the process! My only regret as I left Washington DC - not to have been able to meet (with the exception of Brother Agomar) with the players behind the toons featured on Saru/Nez, with whom I spent so much time having fun whacking swines across azeroth and Outlands, week after week... But hey, there is a FP to Mozambique for the next 3 yrs now, so grab a couple of potions and hop on your epic bird!!!
Ok, gotta board now. Des wishes all 7 Samurai - oldies as well as more recent additions - all the best, don't lose focus in game of what brought us together in the first place - FUN!!! I look forward to catch up with the late late nighters and/or afternoon players among the 7S. Until then... ...kick 'em where it hurts!!!

So.... Hi!
My name is Doug and I'm from Oklahoma. I'm a real life friend of Kosia's - once upon a time we went to the same university
I am 28and formerly was a network admin working for a school district and the State of Oklahoma. Now I pretend to work out of the home as a consultant and play games all day and take care of my elderly father.
I'm a pretty avid gamer and have spent a small fortune on the hobby. I've play SWG, City of Heroes, EVE Online, and tested/tried most of the newer top tier MMOs, but I haven't found anything better than Wow. I started that a couple of months after launch on Bleeding Hollow where I raided and guilded with the getsome people from time to time
The majority of my wow time was spent in Stone and Steel, a dwarven RP guild formerly on BH.
I've taken extended sabbaticals more than once and haven't raided extensively, so my characters seem perpetually undergeared. But that just leaves me with more upgrade opportunities
Since joining up I've enjoyed playing with you and look forward to more adventures soon.

I'm 17 (18 in not but a month!) living in Utah. I'm currently finishing my last year of high school and taking courses in Multimedia Design at a local technical school. I'm currently working part time at a pizza place to support my wow addiction.
I'm pretty much a computer game addict. From Strategy, Shooters, RPG's, and Action-Adventure, I eat em all up. I started playing WoW back in October 2005. A few friends got me to play PVP Horde on Akama but, I got sick of world pvp quite quickly and not to mention both my friends got banned for botting. From there I xferred to Sen'jin with a friend of my brothers but, he soon quit too and the guild I'm currently in loves to use me as the person to bash when their bored. :/
And now I'm rerolling alliance to try over again. So far so good. I'm having a much better time in the first 20 levels than I ever did before thanks to 7S. I hope to be 70 on server within a month or so and be running dungeons with you in no time!

I'm not much on these days, between WotLK Beta and Marleigh and my new business, I'm hard pressed just to make the Raids.
Anywho, again welcome, and let us know if you need a thing.

My rl name's Rebecca and I'm the contract specialist for a medical group in Beverly Hills. It's not too exciting, but it's a solid day job. WoW is my first MMORPG and I can't believe I'm still (sporadically!) playing. I started back in March of 2004 and Kam made me join the guild that very day... Storm, I thought the guild was se7ensamurai at that time, but I guess I'm crazy??
AHAhAhaha, HOLY COWz! That means I started ryoka four years ago and she's still not 70. Awesome:)

I'm 25 years old right now and I am currently unemployed was layed off from HP a little while back and it's very hard finding work. I have a degree from ITT Tech and it's Computer Networking Systems.
WoW is the only MMORPG that I've played so far. Kerfinde was my first character in this guild a Night Elf Warrior originally on team Manaka as a Protection Tank. Later on I moved over a Human Female Paladin that I originally started to level on the Doomhammer Realm and started being the tank with my pally instead of the warrior. The name of the toon is Sandialia level 61 at the moment.
I leveled my warlock on Doomhammer from 1 to 70 and was in alright gear when I moved my lock over to Alleria to Raid with Seven Samurai and it was a blast. Then a while later leveled a gnome mage to 70 then moved my warlock back to Doomhammer to play with my sister. Although I am thinking about moving him back because my sister is rarely ever online.
